Recent credits include Macbeth (Epic Theatre Ensemble), It’s A Wonderful Life: a Live Radio Play (Long Wharf Theatre), The Brothers Size (nominated for a Gregory Award) and The Cook (Seattle Repertory Theatre), Abe Lincoln in Illinois and The Year of Magical Thinking (Intiman Theatre), TopDog/UnderDog and 9 Parts of Desire (Actors Theatre of Louisville), Pride and Prejudice (New Musical directed by Mark Lamos), points of departure, Tight Embrace, and Kissing Fidel (Intar Theatre, Off-Broadway), Lenin’s Embalmers and Pigeon (The Ensemble Studio Theatre, Off-Broadway), Our Dad Is in Atlantis (Working Theatre, Off-Broadway), LOW (The Public Theater’s Under the Radar Festival), UBU (the New Ohio Theatre), Three Musketeers (new Musical, Nissei Theatre in Tokyo), Cavalleria Rusticana/Pagliacci (Nikikai Opera in Tokyo), The Mikado (Opera Theatre of St. Louis).
Mikiko's work has also been seen at Cornerstone Theater Company, Cincinnati Playhouse, Yale Repertory Theatre, Brevard Music Center, New Jersey Opera, National Asian- American Theatre Company, Yale Opera, New York Chamber Opera and Northwest Asian American Theatre, Adirondack Theatre Festival. As an Associate Scenic Designer, Broadway credits include That Championship Season, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Next Fall and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, and for the US, UK and Australian national tour of Lincoln Center theatre production of South Pacific.
