Biography
Bruce Hostetler has been a working director since the early 1990’s. He has directed well over 100 theatre, musicals, and opera productions throughout the USA and Canada. Bruce has worked as producing director of the Carnegie Mellon Summer New Plays Project, He was the Assistant Producer of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival through the 2003 season, and faculty at Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama. He has been a full-time working director, producer, casting director, and teacher since.
He has also written four operas for children which have toured throughout the Northwest.
He was a stage manager (AEA) in the 80's and 90's, mostly as a staff SM at the Indiana Repertory Theatre in Indianapolis, but also working on touring shows, operas, and commercial events as production and day-of manager.
Bruce has an MFA in Directing from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama,
