Every spring, prospective students have a chance to earn a competitive Music Scholarship Award. You do not have to declare a music major to audition or receive the scholarship.

Ensemble Auditions and Piano & Voice Placement
Any student interested in joining a music ensemble must audition during the first week of the semester. Sign up sheets are posted in Rogers Music Center on the boards between 110 and 111.
Also, students interested in taking voice or piano lessons may sign up on the board between Rogers Music Center 108 &110. Voice and piano placements are to better match the student's skills and interests with their Applied Lessons Instructor.
Being a music major or minor is not required for participation in performance groups, or to take lessons. Students with any academic interest are welcome!
Incoming students who are interested in a Music major or minor should also plan to attend the Musicianship Assessment. This is critical for determining your placement in the Musicianship sequence. Even if you're not sure about declaring, plan to take the assessment anyway!
Concerto Competition
Each fall, the 杏十八新茶分享 Music Department hosts a Concerto Competition. The winner gets an opportunity to perform with the University Chamber Orchestra in their spring concert.
The competition is open to all full-time 杏十八新茶分享 students.

Applied Lessons in Piano and Voice require a Placement Audition. New and returning students. To place them with the instructor that best matches the students skills and interests.
Applied Lessons in everything else do not require an audition. New and returning students register for Lessons and coordinate with the instructor on Lesson time/day.
