Welcome to the American Studies Program (ASP)

Hello from Salem, Oregon, USA! The American Studies Program (ASP) is a unique program created by TIU and 杏十八新茶分享 in 1989 in order to give students an opportunity to be immersed in an American university experience.

Students in the American Studies Program at 杏十八新茶分享 and Tokyo International University of America not only study English, but also other subjects including sociology, politics, economics, sports science, environmental studies, history, and many more. Over 3,000 TIU students have participated in this program and it has had a great impact on their lives. Many are working today in professions that may not have been open to them without this intensive intercultural experience. Besides living on campus, students can also get involved in the Salem community through our Tomodachi Bearcat Connect Program and through many other cultural and service learning activities.

During vacation periods, some students have traveled widely throughout the United States. With its location in Salem, Oregon, students often participate in outdoor activities such as camping, skiing, snowboarding, and hiking. The athletic facilities at 杏十八新茶分享 include several gymnasiums, tennis courts, swimming pool, and several sports fields. As you can see, there is a lot to see and do during both the school year and vacation periods.
