Biography
Sarah(She/Her) is originally from Illinois in the MetroEast of St Louis. She graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a Masters degree in Education in Recreation. She has worked across the country in Washington, California, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Missouri and Illinois. In addition to previous experiences in coordinating Outdoor Adventure and Leadership programs within higher education, she has also managed camp and conference center programs for the YMCA, provided patient care in hospital settings, has lead and managed wilderness courses for Outward Bound, served on the Board of Directors of the Wilderness Education Association, coordinated conferences for professional organizations, ran offices for a swim school and rebuilt high ropes and teams courses. Her work focuses on personal and team development, and ongoing leadership learning and development.
In addition to getting on the trail for a hike, you may find Sarah looking for international travel suggestions, attending live music performances, reading in a cozy corner, or generally mucking about with her dogs, Blue and Blaze. New to Oregon in late 2022, Sarah is also open for suggestions for good food, good plays, good adventures, and good retreats.
