The Office of Spiritual and Religious Life acknowledges those who recognize Sanghamitta Day.
This day commemorates Sanghamitta's arrival in Sri Lanka. She was the daughter of King Asoka. She brought with her a branch of the Bodhi Tree. The day usually falls on December’s Full Moon.
