Three English professors named finalists for Oregon Book Awards

Danielle Cadena Deulen, Scott Nadelson and Andrea Stolowitz are in the running for 2017 honors.

Three faculty members from the English department were notified Wednesday that they’re finalists for , which “honor the state’s finest accomplishments by Oregon writers.”

For his latest book, “Between You and Me,” Scott Nadelson was named a finalist for the Ken Kesey Award for Fiction. In 2014, Nadelson was a finalist in the creative nonfiction category for his memoir, “.”

Danielle Cadena Deulen’s “” earned a spot among the finalists for the Stafford/Hall Award for Poetry, while playwright Andrea Stolowitz was named a finalist for “Berlin Diary.” This would be Stolowitz’s third Oregon Book Award in the drama category, as she won for “” in 2015 and “” in 2013.

Members of the public are encouraged to  to receive the Literary Arts Readers' Choice Award.

The award ceremony will be held on April 24 at Portland Center Stage’s The Armory. Tickets are available at .
