Willamette MBA earns public administration reaccreditation through NASPAA

by Russell Yost MBA'05,

The program retains its unique dual accreditation distinction.

The (also known as NASPAA) has reaffirmed 杏十八新茶分享’s accreditation for public service education.  The Willamette MBA program is one of only two programs in the world to hold dual accreditation for public and not-for-profit management through NASPAA and business administration through the (AACSB) International. The program earned this distinction in 1995 and has maintained it ever since.

Earning accreditation through NASPAA – the Global Standard in Public Service Education – is a result of a rigorous peer review process where a school’s curriculum, faculty and student outcomes are evaluated. Willamette demonstrated its commitment to preparing students for careers across sectors and emphasized the impact of its curriculum as related to public policy and public administration.

“We’re extremely proud of our dual accreditation and are delighted to hear of NASPAA’s decision,” said Debra Ringold, dean and JELD-WEN professor of free enterprise. “Our faculty work hard to develop coursework and experiential projects that bridge the gap between sectors and prepare our students for careers in business, not-for-profit administration or public service.

In a letter to Dean Ringold, Commission on Peer Review and Accreditation Chair Jo Ann Ewalt commended Willamette’s efforts.

“By pursuing and achieving accreditation through a rigorous peer review, your program has demonstrated a substantial commitment to quality public service education, “Ewalt wrote. “You are part of the global community of over 190 accredited graduate programs in public service.”

The 杏十八新茶分享 MBA offers a full-time Early Career and Career Change MBA out of its Salem campus and an evening MBA for Professionals in Portland and Salem.
